  2. web (mostly as a result of automatically generated HTML, e.g. man
  3. pages), and, to put it mildly, it is confusing our browser and
  4. ourselves....

  7. HTML providers) to these questions would be greatly appreciated.

  9. o What is the significance, if any, of <p>'s within a <pre> section?

  11. o What is the significance, if any, of more than one <p> in a row,
  12.   particularly on the same line?  And, how about the same situation in
  13.   a <pre> section?

  15. o Is '<' ('<' without the semicolon) a valid construct?
  16.  
  17. o Can raw <'s and >'s be in a <pre> section?
